Description: A unique unblended Sencha grown from the lesser known Yama No Ibuki cultivar. An exquisite single cultivar Sencha from the mountains of Shimizu in Shizuoka Prefecture. Manufactured to maximize aroma, this tea is a light steamed Asamushi style Sencha. The beautiful needle shaped leaves expand over multiple steepings making this a wonderful tea to sit with for a longer session. Truly unique and truly delicious, Yama No Ibuki is a wonderful glimpse at the character and quality of the mountain style Senchas of Shizuoka
What is so special about this tea? A gentle representation of Shizuoka Sencha. Yama No Ibuki has a lighter aroma but packs a roundness on the palate that is just wonderful. This is a wonderful tea to get the hang of brewing lighter steamed teas (which can sometimes be difficult) as it is quite forgiving an easier brewer. This cultivar is relatively new and is hardly ever seen. Also wondeful iced.
Recommended for: Those that love unique, left of center teas.
