Yuuhiyaki Shiboridashi Small - Genta Yamamoto

This shiboridashi was  hand crafted by Genta Yamamoto and is a classic example of Hoshinoyaki, the traditional pottery of Yame in Fukuoka prefecture. Shiboridashi tea pots have no strainer but use the lid and a ridged groove to brew tea in a similar manner to a gaiwan. The incredible finish is made from local hand dug Hoshino clay and finished with Genta san's hand made glaze. Each set is unique and reflects the magic only wood fired pottery can provide.
