Join us for an exploration of a type of tea that is very rare in Japan: oxidized tea. While Japan is known for steamed tea such as sencha and gyokuro, a small number of farmers have developed exquisite versions of oxidized teas, from black tea to oolongs and even micro-oxidized green teas. This class will explain the oxidation process and how this affects flavor, while sampling a range of teas from all over Japan.

Class will last roughly 1 hr. and takes place in our tea gallery located at our 70 Greenpoint ave, Brooklyn cafe.

Tasting, information, and a small dessert included.
