Class | Shincha - 2023 New Harvest Tea
SHINCHA THE BEAUJOLAIS NOVEAU OF JAPANESE TEA
Shincha refers to new green tea harvested for the year. Shincha is a celebration of the spring season - a sure sign it has arrived - and it is enjoyed for a short period of time between mid April and mid June. While regional teas reflect unique terroir, manufacturing processes and cultivars, all shincha from throughout Japan shares one thing in common: a focus on freshness. This class will provide you with the opportunity to try three different varieties of Shincha. We will compare the nuances, subtle flavors, and aromas of each tea, while also covering brewing methods and technique. Join us in celebrating the spring harvest.
Class will last roughly 1 hr. and takes place in our gallery space located in the back of our 70 Greenpoint ave, Brooklyn cafe.
Tasting, information, and a small dessert included.
The class will be held at 70 Greenpoint Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11222
Please note all classes are non-refundable and non-transferable
