Each piece is finished when it is done...no sooner, no later. This speckled Kyusu has a remarkable ash glaze finish one would hope for from a wood fired piece while still upholding all the tenants of a perfect teapot: It pours perfectly, is light and easy to handle, and strains the tea leaves marvelously.
