Masayuki Yamashita
We are excited to share a collection of wood fired pottery from the celebrated pottery Masayuki Yamashita. Yamashita san lives and works on the secluded island of Yakushima off the coast of Kyushu. Surrounded by dense cedar forests, he digs all his own clay and crafts all his own glazes from local materials. His work has a focus on tea ware and is celebration of the visual and tactile language of Yakushima.
