Founders Shincha Tasting
MAY 20TH 11AM, MAY 21ST 11AM
Please join us in celebrating the 2023 spring harvest with a tasting of shincha, a first flush tea that is a marker of the season to come. Kettl founder Zach Mangan will be preparing shincha that was just harvested, in some cases just days ago. Returning from the tea fields of Japan, Zach will share new insights gained from the hard work and long traditions of the farmers and producers we have the privilege of working with. During this intimate event, you will be able to try three varieties of Shincha, comparing nuances, subtle flavors, and aromas of each tea, while also gaining insight into brewing methods and technique . This service will be paired with handmade wagashi from Phoebe Ogawa. Join us in celebrating the spring harvest!
