We are excited to introduce a new product from our friends Kanaami Tsuji in Kyoto. This set includes a large cup size hand woven strainer and one porcelain cup. This a perfect setup for brewing at home, at the office or when traveling. The tea infuser is hand-woven with a combination of two different techniques, kiku-dashi (“chrysanthemum pattern”) and kikko-ami (“tortoise shell netting”). The infuser is larger than a usual tea strainer, and it is designed to fits perfectly on the wide teacup. The stainless-steel mesh part of the infuser is very fine so the resulting in a clear infusion.

We use about 4g of leaf when brewing for one cup. Simply add leaf to the strainer, fill the porcelain cups, and gently brew until a desired strength is reached. Form and function at their very best.
