A fragrance cup perfect for high grade Sencha and Gyokuro. These cups have a higher, narrow shape that intensified the aroma. We love drinking fragrant houjicha from these as well as the roasted character comes through in a lovely way.
Shimizu san studied under Atsuya Hamada, son of Shoji Hamada, a living national treasure. Shimziu san now works out of his own studio in Dosenbo, Minamiyamashiro in Uji. He is also an avid Houijcha fan, roasting his own leaves regularly.
