We are beyond excited to share a first for us at Kettl - unrested, “Shincha” Matcha from the famed Furukawa family of Gokasho in Uji. This cultivar most intimately expresses the land they farm on and their total commitment to crafting pinnacle grade products. Uji producers, with little exception, rest their Tencha after harvest until October. This process creates depth but changes the fragrance of the leaf considerably. On the contrary, this tea showcases the unique, vegetal and fresh aroma that is rarely enjoyed.
Unblended 100% Asahi Cultivar Matcha From Uji, Japan. Asahi Cultivar Is Revered In Uji For Its Natural Sweetness, Aroma, And Deep Green Color. This Is A Wonderful Opportunity To Try A Style Of Tea Not Commonly Found Outside Of Japan's Domestic Market, Or Inside It For That Matter.
