Footed Cup | Yoshiyuki Shimizu

A refined and angular cup meant for evertday use. Showcasing the skill of Yoshiyuki Shimizu, these cups have lovely curves and a perfectly thin lip which enhances the exeperience of using them. We love drinking fragrant houjicha from these as well as the roasted character comes through in a lovely way.

Shimizu san studied under Atsuya Hamada, son of Shoji Hamada, a living national treasure. Shimziu san now works out of his own studio in Dosenbo, Minamiyamashiro in Uji. He is also an avid Houijcha fan, roasting his own leaves regularly.
