Crafted in the spring of 2023, we purchased this tea and had it cold stored for one year, a process called Jukusei, to enhance its richness and allow the tea to develop a soft sweetness. While the focused umami was expected, what delighted and surprised us most was the sparkling freshness of aroma, especially in ensuing steeps—a testament to Kuma san’s commitment to crafting delicious, natural teas.
