The pot is well-made, but rather than the aged, antique appearance in the photo, I received a pot that seemed covered in glitter and had a peculiar purplish or mauve tone rather than the interesting earth tones in the photo. Unusual for my experience with kettl to date...
I've been using this little 12 oz kyusu now for months. Its visual and tactile virtues are exceptional: a delight to see each time I use it (daily) and very satisfying to handle. Who says wabi sabi can't be mass produced? It's just a pity that it's sold out.
