A gorgeous medium sized vase and/or pitcher. Wood fired using natural hand dug glazes, this rustic piece is a gorgeous snapshot of Shimuzu san's more recent style.
Shimizu san studied under Atsuya Hamada, son of Shoji Hamada, a living national treasure. Shimziu san now works out of his own studio in Dosenbo, Minamiyamashiro in Uji. He is also an avid Houijcha fan, roasting his own leaves regularly.
