Taisho Roman Tumbler - Lattice
In Japan, the lack of in-depth study of Japanese glass techniques has endangered traditional glassmaking techniques that have been around since the Meiji period. In the 1980s, Hirota Glass managed to resurrect the opalescent-colored glassmaking technique through trial and error, and used it to produce the most widely popular glass during the Taisho period. Hirota Glass successfully designed and produced the “Taisho Roman Series” using this technique.
