A stunning tea bowl from Taroemon Nakazato XIII, 1923 - 2009. Taroemon the 13th was the son of Taroemon the 12th - a living national treasure. This piece is from the early 1990's and was thrown by Toroemon himself. When first handling the bowl it feels understated and minimal - but with use the details emerge and the mastery of the pottery unveils itself. This is a particulary lovely example of Toroemon XIII's work and a beautiful piece that is meant to be used - either in the tearoom, or at home.
