Very little of Japan's true gyokuro makes it to the shores of America. In this hands on class, we will focus solely on the small area within Fukuoka known as Yame. Employing traditional techniques, Yame continues to produce the majority of Japan's finest gyokuro. Participants will get a chance to sample several producers offerings, learn proper brewing technique, and gain insight into this mysterious and often misunderstood tea. The class includes printed materials, extensive tasting, snack, and the opportunity to buy the featured teas at a 15% discount.
