Asa No Yume translates to ‘Morning Dream’, a name given to this tea because of the Asatsuyu varietal it’s built on. Asatsuyu is referred to as ‘Natural Gyokuro’ because of its rich umami and persistent sweetness, traits that are accentuated by the expert processing of this light steamed, tamaryokucha preparation. The Matsuo family and this tea were recognized in 2018 for their peerless methods with the Nihoncha Award Grand Prize. Brewed in the cup, you can expect beautiful aromatics, a refreshing and focused flavor, and a lasting buttery sweetness.
Shincha is an indicator of the arrival of spring and this young, fresh green tea is sold for only a small window of time—roughly a month. Due to the extremely limited nature of this tea, we're taking pre-orders for our initial shipment. Domestic pre-orders will ship for free and will be dispatched once the tea arrives in our Brooklyn warehouse. We expect the tea to arrive within the next 10 days.
