Shirakawa blend is our first larger format Matcha from the famed Tsuji family in Shirakwa, Uji. Our highest grade latte Matcha that can also be enjoyed whisked on its own, Shirakawa Legacy is suitable for all applications. Whisking and enjoying a daily bowl of usucha, crafting a decadent Matcha latte, or shaking with ice for a frothy, refreshing iced Matcha. A piercing freshness and baked nutty aroma greet you upon opening the bag. The deep verdant color of the powder comes from a 25 day shading, the fine texture from low RPM milling on a traditional stone mill.

Shirakwa Legacy Blend takes its name from the father and son team working side by side to create this velvety-rich stone milled Matcha. With an heir to the farm secured, father Kiyoharu Tsuji continues to explore and challenge himself in crafting peerless Matcha. His son, Koki, is now not just learning from his father, he is chasing him to become the next #1. This field blend from Shirakawa is made with hand harvested, first flush Yabukita, Samidori and Saemidori varietals.
