Chikusendou Shin Chasen Matcha Whisk

Lovely piece of practical cratwork from one of my favourite Japanese cities. Whisks up a beautiful light froth quite effortlessly. It should last quite a while with proper care, even though I use it every single day. It is glued to the box but a little bit of gentle wiggling and liquid adhesive remover will quickly loosen it. I don't think I will buy the pricier option every time I need a new whisk but definitely once in a while.
This is a superior chasen. The craftsmanship reveals itself with the thin tines that are not to stiff and makes a consistent foam for usucha and wonderful thick koicha.
