Tokoname Hon Shudei Kyusu

A rare piece from master Gisui Kondo. This kyusu is created from honshudei clay, the true, traditional old-style clay from Tokoname that has become increasingly hard to find in recent years. This faint, light brown to red color of the tea pot is a clear give-away to special quality of the old style clay. Hand thrown with painstaking attention to detail, this one-of-a-kind piece is a treasured tool to be used and appreciate daily. Each piece comes with a traditional wooden box for storage and display.
