Class | An Introduction to Matcha
Matcha has exploded in popularity in the US in recent years, but its significance within Japan spans hundreds of years and is inseparable from the country’s rich history of tea production and consumption. In this class, guests will learn about that storied history and the evolution of Matcha through the present day. The traditional tools and methods of preparation will also be covered, with every guest learning how to whisk the perfect bowl of matcha themselves. This introductory class is great for those looking to explore Japanese tea for the first time and for those looking to travel deeper down the path of Matcha.
The class is approximately 90 minutes long and features an info session, hands-on brewing, tasting, and a small dessert pairing.
