Sencha is one of the defining styles of Japanese tea. Due to its wide cultivation throughout the country, Sencha is one of the most varied styles as well, with a range of approaches to production and in turn flavor. We carry more Sencha than any other tea style at Kettl, and each one is as unique as the others. We invite you to learn the nuances and deeper details of one of Japan’s most celebrated teas. In this class, guests will learn about the history of Sencha production and taste several different styles from different prefectures throughout the island. This introductory class is great for those looking to explore Japanese tea for the first time and for those looking to travel deeper down the path of Sencha.
The class is 90 minutes long and features an info session, tasting, and a small dessert pairing.
