


Mill Club Subscription: House Milled Matcha
Welcome to Mill Club: 20g of Matcha fresh milled on our stone mill and shipped to your door. Each month Kettl will choose an exclusive Tencha from one of Japan’s top producers - think single cultivars, vintages, and teas with a story - and slowly mill the tea at our Greenpoint, Brooklyn location on our recently imported stone mill. We will then ship the Matcha to you just after grinding ensuring a fresh, radiant bowl of tea awaits you.
Milling this month:
Uji Midori, Uji Collective Growers
This lot of a lesser known Gyokuro cultivar, Uji Midori, comes from a collective of
growers spearheaded by our friends the Yoshida family. Uji Midori is hard to come
by these days as it is a tempermental cultivar that oen does not produce a large
crop - making loss due to frost or heat more likely. Uji Midori is known for its clarity
and natural sweetness. We are happy to support growers who are keeping traditional
cultivars alive. We especially enjoy this Matcha paired with either sweet or savory
snacks - a winning combination.
This tea is Koicha.
