Our Kettl Editions program chronicles exclusive tencha selections that are imported directly from Japan and milled fresh on our traditional stone mill in Brooklyn. These offerings are unavailable anywhere else in the world and offer an unparalleled experience with freshness and flavor.
This house milled matcha is made from a custom blended tencha from the tea house Ryuouen, featuring the Asahi cultivar and Zairai, or wild-grown tea. We worked with Ryuouen to source the Asahi and Zairai selections separately and then blended them ourselves in Brooklyn before milling. The resulting blend is lush and creamy with a remarkable presentation of the fabled Uji aromatics.
