Our Kettl Editions program chronicles exclusive tencha selections that are imported directly from Japan and milled fresh on our traditional stone mill in Brooklyn. These offerings are unavailable anywhere else in the world and offer an unparalleled experience with freshness and flavor.
The second installment of our blended matcha project with the team at Ryuouen in Kyoto. We sourced two single cultivar tencha—Samidori and Yabukita—from the venerable purveyors and our dear friends and then blended them in Brooklyn before milling on our traditional stone matcha mill. The result? An ultra—classic Uji profile that captures everything we love about matcha from the area—a pillowy soft texture, the unmistakable Uji aroma, and a pleasant expressive astringency.
