Welcome to Roast Club. Each month Kettl will choose a select tea from one of Japan’s top producers—think unique cultivars and particularly fragrant selections—and slowly roast the tea on our in-house infrared roaster, transforming it into a one-of-a-kind houjicha. We pack the tea in house immediately after roasting to ensure a fresh and fragrant tea awaits you.

All new Roast Club installments ship on the 15th of each month.

Members who join between the 1st and the 15th will receive the upcoming selection as their first order, shipped on the 15th. Members who join between the 15th and the end of the month will receive the current selection as their first order immediately upon sign up. Ensuing orders will be processed on the 15th.

House Roasted Zairai Houjicha

We are proud to offer another delightful tea from the Matsumoto Family this month—a house roasted houjicha made from 100% zairai tea grown without intervention in their fields in Minamata, Kumamoto. The naturally varied profile of Zairai is the perfect canvas for the Matsumoto familiy's holistic approach to farming, presenting a sweet and balanced cup with a beautiful bouquet of spiced aromatics.
