Packaging: 100g Oxygen Free Packaging

Brewing. 1st Steep: 5-6g of leaf / 210g Water (195°F) / Steep for 1 Minute. 2nd Steep: 195°F Steep for 1 minute.

Storage: Keep the tea in the refrigerator. After opening, place the tin in a ziploc bag before returning to the fridge - this will protect the tea from absorbing any aromas from your refrigerator.

Description: Our Genmai Matcha hails from the famed town of Uji and is a blend of first flush Sencha, high-grade Matcha powder, and toasted puffed-brown rice. A deep green cup with a silky mouthfeel and a lovely baked grain finish. We blend with a higher ratio of tea to rice - meaning the sweet flavor of the Sencha and Matcha are allowed to shine while the rice adds a balanced toastiness.

What is so special about this tea? Made by a cooperative of three producers, the rice, Sencha and Matcha powder are all cultivated separately and brought together creating a wonderful union of color, flavor and aroma.

We purchase tea from our producers weekly and pack into oxygen free packaging at our Fukuoka office. Teas are then air shipped guaranteeing intense aromatics, rich flavor and a higher density of nutrients.
