This handmade tea cup was crafted exclusively for Kettl by master potter Yoshiyuki Shimizu, using Amakusa clay sourced from Kumamoto. Shimizu-san mixes porcelain and clay to create a unique, clean, and beautiful piece. Ideal for drinking sencha, it combines functional elegance with artisanal tradition.
Yoshiyuki Shimizu trained under Atsuya Hamada, the son of renowned Living National Treasure Shoji Hamada. He now creates his work from his studio in Dosenbo, Minamiyamashiro, located in the Uji region
