Hakuji Spouted Chawan - Yoshiyuki Shimizu

A hand made spouted tea bowl from master Yoshiyuki Shimizu. Made as a custom item for Kettl, this almond shaped bowl employs a special spout that allows for pouring while maintaining a delicate foam. Wonderful for whisking matcha to share or for creating the base for a perfect Matcha latte.

Yoshiyuki Shimizu  studied under Atsuya Hamada, son of Shoji Hamada, a living national treasure. Shimizu san now works out of his own studio in Dosenbo, Minamiyamashiro in Uji.
