Samuel Reinhard is a NYC-based composer of experimental music. Guided by minimalist principles, Reinhard's work emphasizes repetition, slowness and extended duration.

His compositions are not unlike tapestries, built from shifting horizontal threads between which unexpected resonances emerge as they iterate and layer. From a distance unassuming and all but eventless, Reinhard’s work is nonetheless driven by constant, subtle inner change. Through his ongoing musical explorations the composer extends an invitation to listeners to be still and observant, to notice the small stuff that swells when we settle into the act of listening.

Join us for a unique sensorial experience at our private Kettl Studio space on Saturday, March 29th at 2:00 pm as we welcome New York City based composer Samuel Reinhard for an afternoon of tea and deep listening featuring his newest release "Movement".

The idea behind this event is to simply engage in a deliberate act of listening—in community with others—and experience the intersection of tea and art as a practice of mindfulness. The event will revolve around two 20-minute compositions with a curated tea pairing presented by Kettl founder Zach Mangan. Tea will be served before each listening session and at the close of the event.

During the event we kindly ask you to refrain from talking or using your phones. We encourage you to stow any time-keeping devices such as smartwatches etc during the session. You may take photos and use your devices freely once the formal listening session has concluded.

Each session is limited to 10 guests. All guests will receive a copy of Samuel Reinhard's new record "Movement" and a bag of tea to bring this special sensorial experience home.
