These cups celebrate Yoshiyuki Shimizu's connection to the area of Dosenbo deep in the mountains of Kyoto prefecture. Hand harvesting his own clay, Shimizu san throws each cup by hand - one after another - in a state of complete calm. While appearing simple, these cups have a shape that perfectly fits the hand and an inner thickness that keeps tea warm without making them hard to handle.
