This experience will be hosted by Kettl founder Zach Mangan at our private Kettl Studio space in Greenpoint.

With the opening of Matcha Sen Mon Ten, I’ve found the exploration of new matcha-producing regions particularly invigorating. Visiting new places, meeting new producers, and tasting new expressions of matcha has renewed my sense of curiosity and excitement.

To share that excitement, I’m pleased to announce an afternoon tasting focused on the newest matcha in our collection. Hosted in the Kettl studio, this experience will include a guided tasting, stories and anecdotes from our sourcing journeys, and the opportunity to whisk and prepare your own matcha. The hope is that each of you will gain a deeper understanding of what’s happening on the cutting edge of matcha production, as well as insight into how we approach building a world-class menu.

This matcha tasting will be accompanied by traditional Japanese wagashi sweets.

Each participant will take home a tin of matcha sourced from Masayoshi Koyama of Yamamasa Koyamaen, specifically for the Kettl Matcha Sen Mon Ten Menu.
