Kazuhiko Kudō Ceramics Collection

Kazuhiko Kudō is a ceramicist  based in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. His works boast a striking golden cast, a result of the hand-foraged clay he sources from the region, which is rich in yellow sand deposited across the Japan Sea thousands of years ago. He has also built his own kilns in his studio on the site of a former natural spring onsen. Driven by a connection to the earth and evolving forms, Kudō-san’s works possess an urgent vitality that jumps off the gallery wall or kitchen table.
