Asatsuyu is referred to as ‘Natural Gyokuro’ because of its rich umami and persistent sweetness, traits that are accentuated by the expert processing of this light steamed, tamaryokucha preparation. The Matsuo family and this tea were recognized in 2018 for their peerless methods with the Nihoncha Award Grand Prize.
