Chiran Sencha

Size

A beautiful expression of sencha from Ushirodake village in Chiran, Kagoshima. Chiran is known for producing high quality sencha due to its unique high mountain climate, excellent water quality, and foggy spring weather that slows plant growth. The resulting cup presents an electric green color and expressive grassiness complimented by a high sweetness. We’re working with the Miyahara family, a highly decorated tea producer, for the first time this year—a relationship we are excited to see flourish.
