Hand Carved from old growth bamboo in the town of Nara, outside of Kyoto, by Kubo Kyosuke. Whisks of this quality are not only stronger but provide more flexibility and "give" while holding up significantly longer than lower quality, cheaply made chasen. Each piece is a miniature work of art taking over 2 hours to complete.
